SEW-Eurodrive will showcase the latest extension to its CMP family of servo motors at this year’s National Manufacturing Week in Sydney.
Offering torque ratings of 0.5 to 45Nm, the extended CMP series is presented in six frame sizes with speed ratings of 3000, 4500 and 6000rpm.
The new CMP models complement the existing CM and CMP servo series, and offer premium dynamics and accuracy in a light-weight, compact form-factor, providing higher torque density than competing servo units, says SEW-Eurodrive.
The new higher-torque models of the extended CMP range can be provided with a choice of two brake torques, and two rotor inertias.
The CMP range is low-weight and compact, with high-torque density. The servo range also offers high ‘four times rated torque’ overload capacity, and cogging levels minimised to below two per cent. The CMP servos retain emitted sound levels to between 55 and 75dBA at all speeds.
The extended CMP servo series is provided with an industry-standard round ‘canon’ plug connectors (for power, and resolver/encoder connection applications) to increase equipment compatibility.
