New rugged safety switches from Jemtech

Jemtech has upgraded its range of fully-sealed safety switches, adding new ‘VSY-type’ switches designed to detect a coded tag at distances of up to 30mm from the sensing head.

Jemtech’s new VSY safety switches offer reduced power consumption and high temperature operation, says the company.

The RFID-coded safety switches offer vibration tolerance that comes from the long sensing distance with no mechanical parts.

The lack of interlocking tongues and other mechanical parts allows for fully-sealed operation and suitability for use in hygienic and hose-down environments, says Jemtech.

High visibility LED indicators makes it easy to see the status of the switch in any location.

The VSY switches are available with sensing heads on the front, side and back. They work with a variety of coded tags that trade size, cost, sensing distance and area.

The units are fully molded parts rated to IP68. They are available in low-cost cable tail versions or M12 quick release connectors.
