Electrical safety product range from Honeywell Salisbury

HONEYWELL has launched the Salisbury Electrical Safety product range, comprising of personal electrical safety products and insulated live line tools.

Electrical current exposes workers to a serious occupational hazard. Many workers are unaware of the potential electrical hazards present in their work environment, which makes them more vulnerable to the danger of electrocution and arc flash exposure.

Salisbury products include insulating rubber gloves, blankets, line hoses, grounding equipment, voltage detectors, clamp sticks, dead-end insulators, plastic cover-ups, dielectric boots and arc flash clothing and visors.

All of Salisbury’s products meet with all ASTM and NFPA70E requirements.

The Salisbury Voltage Detectors are used to quickly detect if voltage is present in equipment, allowing workers to ensure the work area is de-energised before work commences.

The Salisbury Linesman's Glove collection ranges from class 00 (max use 500 volts) and class 0 (max use 1000 volts) gloves for low voltage work to class 1(max use 7,500 volts) through to class 4 (max use 36,000 volts) for high voltage work.

The gloves are available in standard black or contrasting two-colour combinations to make inspecting for cuts or tears easier. Overgloves are also available to provide mechanical protection of electrical gloves.

Each Salisbury glove is manufactured using a solvent rubber based mixture, creating a higher quality electrical glove than other latex gloves on the market.

Salisbury’s range of Rubber Insulating Products include dielectric footwear to provide extra safety when working anywhere a step potential may exist and switchboard matting which can be permanently placed in front of switchgear as well as blankets and line hoses for line work.

Included in Salisbury’s range of Arc Flash Protection Products are visors, hoods, arc protection blankets and clothing as well as kits containing everything a worker needs to protect themselves where the possibility of an arc flash exists, available with ratings from 8 cal/cm2 up to 100 cal/cm2.

Salisbury’s Insulated Tools include non-sparking and non-metallic tools which can greatly increase a workers safety by providing protection from shock and electrocution. Each tool features a two tone orange/yellow rubber insulating material for easy inspection to ensure they are in a suitable condition for use.
