Donaldson Australasia releases Buran refrigeration-compressed air dryers

DONALDSON Australasia has released a range of refrigeration-compressed air dryers, said to prevent condensation and corrosion damage.

The Buran range of refrigeration-compressed air dryers can be used for various industries, including general manufacturing and process, food, pharmaceutical and hospitals.

The Buran refrigerates compressed air, drying the air to prevent condensation and corrosion.

The dryers are located in a robust metal housing, and are equipped with electronic-level-controlled condensate drain and a dew point indicator. An aluminium heat exchanger combines the function of an air to air heat exchanger, refrigerants to air heat exchanger, and water separator.

Compressed air is fed into the dryer and is pre-cooled in the air to air heat exchanger where it is further cooled down to the required pressured dewpoint. The condensed moisture is discharged automatically.

The cool air is then reheated to prevent moisture formation later on in the process.

The Buran’s new heat exchanger concept reduces pressure losses, and Donaldson Australasia says the operating costs are kept low throughout the whole lifetime.
